Focus Your Energy
Oct 19, 2026
We can spend a lot of energy on things we cannot change. What someone else decides. What has already happened. How quickly something gets resolved. Whether someone responds the way we hoped.
The more attention we give those things, the less energy we have for what is actually ours to manage.
Focusing on what is within our control doesn't mean that everything else stops mattering. It means recognizing where our choices, actions, and responses can make a difference, and putting more of our energy there.
Simple Practice
When you notice yourself feeling pulled in several directions, make two quick lists:
What is within my control?
What is outside my control?
Then choose one thing from the first list that you can do, change, or respond to.
Let the rest sit for now.
Pause & Reflect
Where am I spending energy on something I cannot control?
Sometimes getting back to zero begins with recognizing what is ours to carry, and what isn't.
Notice where your energy is going. Then choose where to place it.
That's where the practice begins.
